Under the direction of the Supervisor, Accounts Payable (AP), Sr. Finance Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the execution of multiple operational processes associated with the timely and accurate completion of AP processes. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for multiple, complex, and time sensitive operational and technical processes across multiple systems. The Sr. Analyst represents Finance Operations in key corporate initiatives impacting operations, including but not limited to operational improvements, information management enhancements, system maintenance, data analysis and reporting. The position requires a strong business, technical and analytical discipline as well as troubleshooting skills with the ability to work across multiple systems/interfaces. This is a cross functional role that interacts heavily with IT/NTT, several internal business partners, and external customers/vendors requiring strong written/oral communication skills.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILIES
  • Responsible for the execution of multiple, complex, and time sensitive operational/technical processes across multiple systems.
  • Effectively resolve operational issues and coordinate across departments and teams timely and escalate as needed.
  • Responsible for various technical processes, analysis and reporting for departmental systems and functions.
    • Responsible for ongoing day to day relationship management with relevant business partners and vendors. Includes issue escalation and coordinated resolution, process improvements, and customer service support. Must understand relationship dependences to be subject matter expert and primary contact.
    • Responsible for reporting of production/system data including metrics and ad hoc reporting.
    • Identifies and assesses opportunities for enhancing operational efficiencies and business process redesign.
    • Documentation of processes and workflows and provide training to team members as needed.
    • Develops and maintains a highly collaborative working relationship with the internal and external stakeholders and provides superior customer service
    • Assists with day-to-day operational tasks across the teams, as and provide back up support for key operational processes as needed.
      • Represent the Finance department on complex corporate projects that require integration across multiple depts, as needed
      • Maintain company compliance, policies and procedures as required.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
        • Responsible for AP system data maintenance for Oracle and Concur including file uploads and configuration updates.
        • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all AP related reconciliations including check and EFT, 1099 and Unclaimed Property.
        • Completion of Oracle OPP jobs and related processes in a timely and accurate manner.
        • Timely and accurate completion of all standard and ad-hoc AP reporting including Travel & Entertainment monthly reports, Concur and Oracle AP related reporting utilizing Excel or other reporting tools.
        • Responsible for assisting with all AP file uploads for vendors and invoices and assisting customer/colleagues with AP data files creation.
        • Prompt resolution of AP production and system issues and coordination with IT/NTT and vendors on escalated issues.
        • Assist with the AP production processes as needed. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
          • Bachelor's degree required with a concentration in accounting or finance preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance and/or operations, preferably in the Healthcare insurance industry. SKILL REQUIREMENTS(include complexity of position):
            • Highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and have the flexibility to adapt to changing processes and timelines.
            • Must be able to interpret complex business situations and understand the implication to team. This position requires strong analytical skills, independent judgment, strong critical thinking, creative problem solving, and timely and sound decision-making abilities.
            • Proven ability to work in multiple systems and ability to interpret complex data. Advanced technical expertise in Excel is required. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS (include personal interaction):
              • Requires a high level of organizational skills and the ability to effectively work across multiple business units. This position must be able to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and management across multiple departments.
              • Principal duties and responsibilities occur simultaneously, therefore, the employee must be able to appropriately handle each essential function, prioritize them and seek assistance when necessary. These functions need to be performed on a consistent and regular basis, using good judgment.
