PCU offers the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, paid time off, holiday pay including birthday holiday, 401(k) plan, employee homebuyer assistance, plus much more Title: Sr. Loan Underwriter Job Category: Full-Time, In Office Description: To provide timely and accurate processing/underwriting/decisioning and funding of marine and home equity loan applications originated through PCU's network of marine loan brokers. Review, underwrite and decision marine and home equity loan applications originated by gathering appropriate information and analyzing the credit history of loan applicants. Provide routine information to members with regards to loan and loan policy. Promptly communicate lending decisions back to the applicable marine loan broker. Review marine surveys to ensure collateral is adequate. Perform the quality control, funding and booking processes on all marine loan closing packages (i.e. ensure all of the following: correct interest rates, LTVs, etc. have been determined, all required disclosures and documents are included and have been executed properly and that all marine loans are funded in a timely manner). Alert marine loan brokers of any funding delays and work directly with the brokers to resolve them swiftly. Monitor underwriting and funding delay pipelines on a daily basis. Ensure compliance with PCU's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Policy and related procedures, Member Identification Program, and Office of Foreign Assets Control screening and record keeping requirements. Assist marine loan brokers with questions as needed. Assist Retail Lending Manager as needed. Assist others in the Retail Lending Department as needed. Perform all other duties as required. Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred. At least 3 years demonstrated successful work experience in a lending environment Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with time management/organizational/multi -tasking skills. Familiarity with basic math concepts required. Must be able to focus and pay attention to detail when processing a high volume of work, occasionally work under pressure and have the ability to meet tight deadlines. Must register/be registered by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry Must be capable of accurate and timely performance of duties PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office and other banking software. Must have the ability to learn new and changed procedures. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills, demeanor, appropriate business appearance, and demonstrated knowledge of PCU's products and services, policies and procedures. Ability to maintain a positive and upbeat Credit union image. Ability to handle confidential information securely. Ability to work collaboratively across all levels and functions of PCU to coordinate solutions. Ability to work independently and also as a team member. Bi-lingual helpful EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
