The Customer Service Representative position provides administrative support and superior customer service to retailers (customers) and vendors of Pet Food Experts, develops and maintains positive business partnerships and works collaboratively company-wide in an effort to maximize sales and develop customer relationships.

    SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm OR Monday - Thursday, 9:30am to 6:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
    SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Communicate daily with customers by telephone and email to fulfill and process orders and quotes in an accurate and efficient manner
    • Respond to customer requests and inquiries, and maintain current records of contacts and calls
    • Provides assistance to the Customer Experience Team through administrative tasks
    • Order entering (data entry) by processing fax, email, and electronic orders and credits
    • Ensure appropriate and accurate application of promotions on orders

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

      • Strong attention to detail, sense of organization, and be a proactive team player
      • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office and customer service or related fields
      • Professional telephone, email and excellent interpersonal etiquette with internal and external customers
      • Basic computer skills are required and experience with the Google Suite is preferred
      • Ability to independently troubleshoot, problem-solve, and recognize industry trends
      • A focus on customer success while providing various forms of office administrative support

        EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

        • High School Education or equivalent required, college degree a plus
        • 1 year inside sales and/or customer service experience preferred
        • Prior call center experience, a plus
        • Prior experience with the following platforms is a plus: Hubspot, A Plus, Infor
        • Prior pet industry knowledge, a plus
