Job Description:

Volunteers of America Massachusetts is seeking a Chief People Officer (CPO) dedicated to leading our strategic human resources and talent management initiatives, with a focus on fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for groups we serve, including the elderly, veterans, and those with disabilities. The CPO will play a crucial role in shaping our organizations culture and improving employee engagement, contributing directly to our mission of promoting self-sufficiency and well-being. Develop and execute human resources strategies aligned with the organization’s overall mission. Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure alignment with organizational needs and values. Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, promoting an inclusive workplace that reflects the community we serve. Manage employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, and compliance with state and federal laws. Collaborate with senior management to craft organizational policies and strategic plans that prioritize human capital. Provide expert advice and coaching to management on HR issues and best practices. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Expertise in HR practices and talent management Proven experience in managing diversity and inclusion programs Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and composure Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred. Any additional certifications related to diversity management and leadership are highly beneficial.
