At The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT, we seek a meticulous Diagnostic Imaging Technologist I to join our expert team in providing high-standard diagnostic imaging services. This role is crucial in accurately capturing and interpreting medical images to support the diagnosis and treatment planning by our medical professionals. Operate and maintain all imaging equipment including, but not limited to, X-ray, MRI, and CT. Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and compliance with safety protocols. Capture high-quality diagnostic images, following physician orders and adhering to departmental procedures. Analyze results and collaborate with radiologists to provide accurate diagnoses. Maintain accurate records of procedures, complying with all legal and hospital policies. Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff. Assist in the management of departmental inventory and maintenance schedules. Proficiency with various diagnostic imaging technologies (X-Ray, MRI, CT) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Medical Insurance Certified Radiologic Technologist (RT) Valid state license
