Job Description:
VA New England Healthcare System Is Hiring Primary Care
Physicians! The VA New England Healthcare System (VA-NE) seeks to
fill various Full and Part-time Primary Care physician
opportunities in the New England area. VA-NE is comprised of eight
robust medical centers and associated community-based outpatient
clinics (CBOCs) located in West Haven, Connecticut; Bedford,
Massachusetts; Boston, Massachusetts; Leeds, Massachusetts;
Augusta, Maine; Manchester, New Hampshire; Providence, Rhode
Island; and White River Junction, Vermont. VA New England leads the
VHA's Primary Care initiative in employing the Patient Aligned Care
Team (PACT) model to leverage evidence based standardized health
care practices toward optimizing the unique contributions of each
discipline on the PACT. The team aims to empower and equip patients
to take charge of their health and well-being by offering
complimentary and integrative health care approaches that enhance
self-empowerment, self-healing, and self-care. Our smaller panel
sizes, wide array of support services and virtual care options
provide more flexibility for patients to engage in their own health
care and with their team. Our skilled Primary Care Physicians are
responsible for providing excellent care to our nation’s veteran
population in the New England area. Salaries range includes
$225,000 to $265,000 per year Recruitment/Relocation Incentive is
authorized for positions in certain VA – NE locations. Education
Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) :This position is eligible for the
EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program. Learn more
Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide comprehensive
assessment, diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention, including
comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical
examination, and patient education to Veterans in the Primary Care
team setting. Works collaboratively with other health care
professionals to accomplish patient, service, and medical center
goals, promoting and embracing the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT)
model of care, utilizing Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect,
Excellence (ICARE) values throughout the clinic. To be eligible,
physicians must have and maintain a full, unrestricted license.
Board Certification is preferred but not required. VA offers
