looking for a full time Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our
team in Cumberland, RI.

Schedule: Hybrid schedule - 3 days in office per week
The Director of Human Resource is a strategic contributor who
collaborates with Pet Food Experts' Executive and leadership teams
to support the Company's objectives to build a diverse culture with
individuals who are innovative and committed to excellence, as well
as guiding the HR Strategy to improve engagement, and manage
programs designed to foster it.
Summary of Essential Functions
Deliver strategic HR leadership in the areas of organizational
development, talent acquisition and retention, performance
management, succession planning, benefits and compensation,
employee relations, diversity and inclusion, labor laws/legal
compliance, and training and development programs
Lead, mentor, guide, coach and develop the Human Resources Team
responsible for company-wide delivery of HR services; assist with
the resolution of human resources matters and employee
relations
Provide perspectives and action plans on how best to evolve company
leadership, culture and strategy to ensure organizational
effectiveness and succession needs are met
Develop, implement and provide expert counsel on all training and
development initiatives in order for the Company to remain well
positioned to meet future challenges
Collaborates with the talent management team to execute innovative
best practices for effective talent management methods enabling
company growth.
Continually investigates attractive benefit programs recommending
potential options, as well as regularly reviewing compensation to
remain competitive
Implement and measure the effectiveness of initiatives aimed at
supporting the performance, growth, reward, and engagement of all
employees
Promote the Company's vision and culture by identifying,
prioritizing, designing and implementing HR programs and solutions
that support employees and business objectives and align the
organizational structure and practices
Monitor and ensure the Company's compliance with federal, state,
and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best
practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain
compliance
Serve as a primary resource in legal compliance for all locations
in the interest of mitigating the Company's exposure and risk; work
with legal counsel in areas of litigation
Be a visible, involved and engaged leader to support employees
throughout the Company in partnership with the Human Resources
Team
Travel, up to 25%, to other Pet Food Experts locations
nationwide
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Proven experience as an Human Resources department leader at a
mid-to-large size organization (approximately 1,000 +/-
employees)
Strong background in designing and implementing organizational
structure and change management
In-depth knowledge and interpretation of HR disciplines, processes,
policies, law and best practices
Understand, interpret, and apply company and departmental policies
and procedures
Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee
coaching skills
Sound business acumen in order to assess business needs, develop
solutions and implement with measured impact on the business
Ability to deal promptly and effectively with adverse situations
and maintain professionalism and composure
Exhibit an outgoing, people-oriented, helpful and positive attitude
with a customer-centric approach to working with internal and
external stakeholders
Education:
Bachelor's degree required (HR concentration preferred)
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP) or SPHR
credential preferred
Certified training in HR competencies including: organizational
planning and development, compensation and benefits, employee
relations, performance management, recruitment, and health and
safety
Active affiliations with appropriate Human Resources networks and
organizations
Experience:
10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in HR roles
Minimum 5 years of supervising an HR Team
Wholesale distribution or manufacturing environment, preferred
Acquisitions, mergers and union experience, a plus
