following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise
Services, Research Center or BBN team: The Additive Manufacturing
Process and Capability Center (AMPCC) encompasses a critical mass
of Additive Manufacturing (AM) process and industrialization
experts, the necessary equipment, and develops the strategic
collaborations needed to rapidly mature the technology and
manufacturing readiness of AM. The AMPCC is focusing on the
research, development and deployment of additive manufacturing
tools and processes for our business units. The Principal Metal
Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer will be challenged with
solving unique and interesting problems to enable new commercial
aerospace and defense products. They will be responsible for one or
more of the following activities as they relate to the AMPCC,
including: What you will do: Lead process development activity to
improve print capability, increase speed, reduce cost and enhance
material performance in support of advanced RTX Business Unit
product initiatives Drive AM Qualification efforts utilizing IQ, OQ
and MQ with a strong collaborative RTX Business Unit cross
functional team Develop and utilize advanced tools and equipment to
characterize machines and process space Collaborate with
government, industry, academic, and RTX Business Unit partners to
develop whitepapers, project concepts, and responsive proposals
Conduct RCCA activities on build failures, machine or process
issues, or product performance gaps Work with cross-functional
teams including materials, design, simulation, operations, and
characterization engineers to support and improve the full value
stream Support RTX Business Units by providing process expertise
and best practices Qualifications You Must Have: A University
Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant
experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5
years experience. Expertise in Additive Manufacturing tools and
processes Scripting experience with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript
or similar Experience with software and tools used in Additive
Manufacturing including CAD packages Experience with metal laser
powder-bed-fusion AM equipment Working understanding of AM machine
sensors and control systems US Citizenship required. The ability to
obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer: Preferred candidates for this position
will have a PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering
or related technical field. Strong presentation, planning, problem

onsite in East Hartford, CT. As part of our commitment to

107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good
faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX
