General Cable Industries, Inc. is seeking multiple Senior Process Engineers at its location in Lincoln, RI to select appropriate process improvement techniques in consultation with plant engineers and management to drive quality and performance. Design and maintain wire cable products. Implement process improvement programs to successfully execute necessary process changes within the plant. Evaluate Critical to Process (CTP) and Critical to Quality (CTP) metrics and best practices from external sources for implementation. Maintain and improve production standards including tasks, routings, and process instructions. Ensure product and material compliance for ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), chlorinated polyethylene elastomer (CPE), and silicone rubbers with internal and external standards. Plan, implement, and monitor factory quality activities to ensure product compliance. Validate instructions for new products. Develop quality control plans, product sampling, and test instructions to ensure products meet standard compliance regulations. Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and variances.
Job Requirements:Employer requires a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related or the foreign degree equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience. In the alternate, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related or the foreign degree equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience. Work or academic experience must have included: leading Quality and Process Continuous Improvement Projects to increase cost savings; developing quality control plans; designing wire products utilizing CAD; designing products with ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), chlorinated polyethylene elastomer (CPE), and silicone rubbers; identifying and leading process improvement projects to increment the Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) in different machinery; setting process standards and problem-solving experience to increase process reliability, process control, and equipment performance; ISO 9001 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Systems Auditing; wire and cable manufacturing processes, continuous vulcanization and extrusion of different rubber compound formulations for ethylene propylene monomer (EPDM), chlorinated polyethylene elastomer (CPE), and other silicone rubbers; and Manufacturing Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
