Vulnerability Response Principal Engineer (I8);------------------------------------------------- -Software Systems Principal EngineerThe Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) Engineering Security Vulnerability Response Organization provides strategic direction and oversight partnering with internal ISG product team to provide our customers and sales teams timely, consistent, and complete product responses to high profile vulnerabilities. - The purpose of the ISG Security Vulnerability Response team is to partner with ISG product engineering teams to insure a complete and concise process to investigate, respond and mitigate product security vulnerabilities. - We are looking for subject matter experts to help drive the vision, implementation, and tactical execution of this strategic vulnerability response partnership. - Do you thrive on the enterprise real time response process? -Then this is the influential role for you! - As part of this global team, you will have an excellent opportunity to influence the security culture at Dell ISG and further the development of your career. -What you'll achieve:

  • As a Principal Software Engineer your primary job function will be to conduct penetration tests on our ISG products in order to help product groups achieve compliance with our secure development lifecycle guidelines. - In addition to this you will react to high profile vulnerability response incidents helping guide ISG product teams through our incident response process. You will:
    • Execute penetration testing on a wide variety of Dell ISG products.
    • Look for known security vulnerabilities and zero-day defects in ISG products.
    • Help product teams achieve compliance with our secure development lifecycle guidelines.
    • Be the vulnerability response process subject matter expert to ISG product teams.
    • Influence and guide development teams processes to design, develop and release security vulnerability updates.
    • Provide technical leadership and expertise on vulnerability validation, re-production, remediations, and communicate risk and impact to engineering leadersTake the first step towards your dream career
      Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here's what we are looking for with this roleEssential Requirements:
      • 6+ years of experience as a cyber security engineering professional; or 4+ years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 2+ years' experience; or equivalent experience across FED and DOD certifications
      • Experience designing and executing offensive security test plans.
      • Experience with industry standard security testing tools such as Qualys, TenableIO, Blackduck, BURP, Metasploit, IBM Appscan, and Defensics.
      • A passion for finding and remediating security defects. -
      • Knowledge of how to determine if a product is vulnerable to an exploit of a known security vulnerability.
      • Ability to rate vulnerability severity based on the CVSS scoring system.Desirable Requirements:
        • Enterprise product development experience in designing and implementing vulnerability response.
        • Software development experience implementing product stacks designed for vulnerability response.
