Technician Apprentice Location: Westford Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation : $26.00-$30.00/hr. Fire Equipment Inc. is a

seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join
our Special Hazards division as a Technician Apprentice. This is an
entry-level role designed for someone eager to learn the trade
through on-the-job training while working alongside an experienced
Lead Technician as part of a two-person crew. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Technician in the installation of special hazard
suppression systems. Begin as a laborer with a clear path toward
certification and technical proficiency. Learn to work with piping
systems: cutting, threading, fitting, and assembling. Utilize and
eventually master tools such as the Rigid 300 pipe threading
machine. Install clean agent cylinders including CO2, FM-200, and
other clean agents. Follow all safety protocols while working on
ladders and in elevated areas. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
regularly. Receive and apply direction from the Lead Technician on
daily tasks. Commit to progressing toward a Certificate of
Competency in the field. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
required. Mechanically inclined with interest in skilled trades.
Comfortable working at heights and on ladders. Ability to carry and
move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Prior experience with
mechanical tools and equipment is a plus, especially with pipe
threading machines. Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to
learn. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
Preferred Experience (not required): Exposure to fire protection or
mechanical trades. Familiarity with Ridgid 300 threading machines
