Job Description:
Lead Knowledge Analyst - applabs (The Boston Consulting Group,
Inc. - Boston, Massachusetts): Support Practice Areas (PAs) on
analyzing and building new business cases and gathering technical requirements
for the development of enhanced proprietary products. Specific duties:
Work closely with the development team to prioritize product
requirements and ensure satisfactory completion; support evaluation of technology
options based on knowledge of product use cases, competitive landscape
and technology trends; provide input on timeline and budget
estimates for development; engage with PA team and product stakeholders to
understand specific user requirements, prioritize requests and align
stakeholders around minimum viable product requirements; build user stories
that can be communicated and collaborated with the development team to
facilitate stakeholder sign off on the solution design; make technical recommendations to the product owner; create and maintain the
backlog of product feature requests in consultation with all relevant
key stakeholders; leverage tools to help developers and
stakeholders visualize requirements, navigation flows, and functional
relationships; instruct and direct the development team by formulating and
defining system scope, integration requirements and objectives based on
user- defined needs; monitor developer progress to ensure product
owner goals are met; identify NFRs along with the technical team for
documentation; work with delivery and/or product manage to set project
timelines and schedules; effectively manage change and scope creep; ensure requirements are captured and work with the Project/delivery
manager and technical team to effectively manage stakeholder expectations;
identify dependencies and potential risks; play an active role in the QA
of the delivered product, particularly focused on
functional/end-user perspective; and develop best practices and processes for
requirements elicitation, capture, management, tracking, and change
management. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,
Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
plus six (6) years of experience as a business analyst converting
business requirements into wireframes and user stories to support
software and product development. In the alternative, willing to accept a
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field
(willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus four (4) years
of experience as a business analyst converting business
requirements into wireframes and user stories to support software and product
development. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience
requirements not applicable to this section) must possess the following:
(i) instructing teams on adaption and migration of software
development projects from waterfall model into agile model; (ii)
collaborating with stakeholders as a thought partner to translate business goals
into successful go-to- market solutions; (iii) performing project
management of multiple client projects at any given time from
requirements gathering through delivery; (iv) analyzing use cases and
developing user journeys to enable business process improvements; (v) conducting
data analysis, wireframing, and visualization; (vi) product
management, project scoping, and risk mitigation; and (vii) developing
marketing materials and contributing to business development in North
America. Domestic travel (up to 20%) required based on client/company
need. Must have unrestricted authorization to work in U.S. M-F, 9:00 a.m.
