waiting for? Your journey starts here. Position Summary: The
Creative Director will lead a team of creative thinkers and doers.
This person will have a mix of marketing expertise and strategic
business understanding. The Creative Director sets the creative
vision for the brand, bringing to life our positioning across all
relevant touch points. This person will be responsible for guiding
Collette---s highly talented in-house creative department that
includes copywriters, editors, graphics designers, art directors
and a video production team. The Creative Director must understand
the target market and help develop the company---s corporate image,
inspiring fresh creative concepts around our positioning to be
executed across multiple media channels. The Creative Director
should have a thorough understanding of brand positioning and the
psychology needed in appealing to the consumer as well as what
influences purchasing decisions. We are looking for someone who is
passionate about bringing ideas to life on time, all the time. This
person should be experienced with both managing people and
inspiring others, elevating the creative work coming out of
marketing as well as the creative team. Primary Functions: Will
have a strong partnership and shared vision with the SVP of
Marketing Lead and review work of the creative team in the
production of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral,
ensuring it---s on brand Is the decision maker responsible for all
creative marketing materials Must be passionate about both creative
and management Collaborate with creative, strategic communications,
strategic planning, media, product and sales all while leading and
motivating in order to drive engagement and results. Must have a
strong understanding of creative ideas and design. Will take a
proactive approach to anticipate internal and external concerns and
maintain a level of flexibility to quickly respond to changing
business needs Analyze market trends, consumer need, and the
competitive landscape Responsible for leading, coaching and
developing graphic designers, copy writers, art directors, and
video teams Oversee all guidelines for the Collette brand including
its Travel Styles Help select any outside talent necessary for
projects Lead creative meetings Forecast and manage creative
expenses and budget Take ownership, lead initiatives, and
successfully execute through all stages of creative development
on-target, on-time and on-budget Conduct brainstorming sessions
with creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to
develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives Review and
approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables
that effectively address marketing goals and challenges Knowledge
and Skills This position requires a strong creative talent who is
also a hands-on implementer and requires an individual comfortable
functioning at both the management level as well as the functional
level. Bachelor---s Degree in design. 12 years design experience,
must have some experience in a direct-to-consumer business. B2B
experience a plus. Experience directing photography. Experience
presenting/pitching creative concepts Experience managing designers
and outside talent Organizational skills, adaptability and
composure under fire are necessary Portfolio review required.
