Job Description:
Duties: Designs, develops, and implements various applications
and computer systems. Develops detailed system and program specifications,
including impact analysis documentation and custom reporting to ensure
business requirements are met. Works with cross-functional teams to
design and implement business requirements. Conducts research into
emerging application development software products, languages, and
standards in support of procurement and development efforts. Reviews and
analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems. Develops
strategies to improve and further leverage existing systems. Primary Responsibilities: • Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. • Develops and promotes best practices in DevOps for
Continuous Integration. • Provides technical insights and feedback on cloud implementation/migration. • Participates in architecture design teams. • Defines and implements application level architecture. • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division. • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex
projects across multiple platforms. • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and
on-budget. • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies
for projects. • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments
for multiple projects. • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve
various project/technology issues. • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and
technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. • Provides application support for key applications, and may
serve as on-call resource to support the organization’s service and
escalation model. • Advises senior management on technical strategy. • Mentors junior team members. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5)
years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
designing, developing, and supporting applications using Java/J2EE
technologies within highly transactional and highly available production
environments; Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent)
in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
designing, developing, and supporting applications using Java/J2EE
technologies within highly transactional and highly available production
environments. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated designing and
implementing Java- based services in a cloud environment using Microservice
Architecture pattern, RESTful Web services, Spring MVC, Java, Maven, and git;
and performing code reviews using Crucible; DE performing DevOps
engineering and enterprise level platform automation using Chef; and
automating administration functions using Ruby and shell scripting; and
performing continuous integration and implementation using Jenkins; DE
designing and developing database schema and ORM mappings using JPA and
Hibernate; and writing stored procedures and transactional SQL within SQL and
Oracle databases; DE providing Level-3 production support to resolve
critical issues in production environments, including incident management
